What Melania Wore Welcoming Spain’s King and Queen

First Lady Melania Trump welcomed King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain to the White House in a summer dress that was a perfect fit for tea time.

For this occasion, Melania rocked an olive green and a light beige cotton dress embroidered with white leaf motifs by Italian fashion house Valentino. The floral dress is from the 2018 Resort Collection. She flawlessly finished off her look with a white belt to cinch her waist and accentuate the figure flattering silhouette of this fit and flare cut and matched the dress with olive Manolo Blahnik stilettos.

Sadly, the version Melania wore is now sold out.

As for Queen Letizia, she opted to wear a hot pink Michael Kors shift dress with pink accessories. The wool sheath dress has detailed glossy buttons lined up along the pockets and features a silver belt to highlight the feminine figure. It currently retails for $1,695 at Nordstrom. The Queen paired the dress with a light pink Manolo Blahnik pumps and a pink clutch by Magrit, a Spanish designer.

The dress appeared similar to a blue version Melania wore to greet Lorena Castillo Garca de Varela, first lady of Panama, in June 2017. The Queen paired it with a light pink Manolo Blahnik pumps.

During the visit, Melania will serve the Queen tea in the Red Room of the White House as King Felipe VI and President Trump will meet in the Oval Office for an 30 minute bilateral meeting about trade and tariffs.
