What Melania Wore Watching Sumo Wrestling Tournament in Japan

First Lady Melania Trump was pretty in pink as she attended the Tokyo Grand Sumo Tournament alongside her husband, President Trump and the Prime Minister of Japan Mr. Abe and his wife Akie.

For the sumo wrestling match, Melania wore a fuchsia asymmetric hem cap sleeved wool dress by Roland Mouret. The Barwick Cap-Sleeve Cascade-Front midi dress is from the designer’s Resort 2018 collection. It currently retails for $2,020 in Bergdorf Goodman.

President Trump presented a custom-made trophy – the United States President’s Cup – to the victor on a set of wooden stairs fitted to the side of the raised sumo ring, making it easy for him to hand the winner his prize.

“In honor of your outstanding achievement as sumo grand champion I hereby award you the President’s Cup,” he said to wrestler Asanoyama after watching the sumo match.

Trump said he had “an incredible evening” watching the Japanese national sport, adding he had always found the sport “fascinating”.

“I’ve always wanted to see sumo wrestling, so that was really great., Trump said, “That was an incredible evening.”

In love with this pink dress, head over to Bergdorf Goodman to buy this same style before it sells out. Or looking for affordable option, shop below that are stylish and on budget
