First Lady Melania Trump attended the Hannukah celebration at the White House Wednesday evening, joining husband President Trump as he signed an executive order intended to combat anti-Semitism on college campuses.
Looking sleek and elegant, Melania wore a black cape dress from Givenchy. The sleeveless little black dress features a round neck cut and a silk cape overlay with draped half sleeves. It retailed for $1,990, but unfortunately it is sold out.
She teamed the dress with a thin black belt at the waist and high-heel pumps.
The First Lady attended the ceremony along with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, as Trump signed an executive order aiming to alleviate anti-Semitism on college campuses.
“Today, we’re taking another historic action. In just a few moments, I’ll sign an executive order to combat anti-Semitism,” Trump said, “This is a very powerful document that we’re signing today. This is our message to universities: If you want to accept the tremendous amount of federal dollars that you get every year, you must reject anti-Semitism. It’s very simple.”

The order will broaden the federal government’s definition of Jewish people as an ethnic group rather than just a religious one, a controversial step that grants broader authority to the Department of Education to respond to anti-Semitic incidents on college campuses under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
Trump began his remarks noting Tuesday incident in Jersey City, New Jersey where four people, including a police officer were killed in a shooting at a kosher market. Officials have said they believe the suspects were motivated by anti-Semitism.
“As we gather this afternoon, our thoughts turn to the grieving families in New Jersey. Yesterday, two wicked murderers opened fire at a kosher supermarket and killed four innocent souls, including a brave police officer who faced down the shooter and very bravely faced the shooter down,” Trump said. “With one heart, America weeps for the lives lost. With one voice, we vow to crush the monstrous evil of anti-Semitism whenever and wherever it appears.”
