First Lady Melania Trump accompanied President Donald Trump to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization Leaders’ Reception hosted by Britain’s Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace to mark 70 years of the NATO Alliance on Tuesday night.
For the reception, Melania donned a glamorous yellow cape coat from Valentino. From the FW 2019 runway collection, the canary-yellow compact cape coat is crafted from a soft wool blend mixed with cashmere. It features a long panel that drapes around the neck and over the shoulder, giving attention to the V-shaped back panel. It retails for $7,770 and is available for purchase at MatchesFashion.com.
Under the yellow Valentino cape, Melania wore a custom fuchsia long sleeve dress designed by her personal stylist Hervé Pierre. She teamed the fuchsia and yellow ensemble by matching her dress with fuchsia suede Christian Louboutin pumps. The iconic suede pump retails for $695 on MyTheresa.com.
Earlier, the first couple had tea with Prince Charles and Camilla at Clarence House before heading to the reception. Also in attendance was the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middletown without her husband Prince William. She was spotted wearing a festive green high-neck crepe midi dress from Emilia Wickstead. Ivanka Trump has the same exact dress that Kate wore to the Tuesday evening, where she wore the stunning piece in May for the Internet Association 2019 event.
The Queen, on the other hand, was also seen wearing a green dress for the reception. She accessorized the dress with an emerald green shawl, a pearl necklace and pearl earrings.
Other world leaders at the reception included Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his wife Emine, Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte.
While this eye-catching cape coat is available to purchase online, below are similar yellow cape coats one can purchase to mimic the First Lady’s look for a lot less.
