Melania Trump rang the opening bell at the New York City Stock Exchange Monday morning with a group of fourth grade students to highlight her signature Be Best campaign.
For the occasion, Melania wore a sleeveless black dress from Prada. The midi shift dress featured a front flap pockets and a matching belt on the waist line. This professional chic dress is sadly unavailable for purchase.
As for footwear, Melania paired the black Prada midi dress with black patent leather from Roger Vivier. The square-toe pump features the brand signature pilgrim silver buckle at the toe. The shoe retails for $775 and is available for purchase at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Stacey Cunningham, the first female president of the New York Stock Exchange, welcomed the First Lady to the building and showed her the Buttonwood Agreement that founded the stock market.

Following the meeting, Melania spoke with fourth grade students from the United Nations International School in Siebert Hall.
Be Best is the first lady’s signature anti-bullying campaign that focuses on three pillars: well-being, online safety, and opioid abuse.
“I see your school mission statement and Be Best have the same values, which I encourage children all around the world to follow,” the first lady told the UNIS students before ringing the bell. “Follow your dreams and be best at what you do.”

The students presented Melania with a plaque about the United Nations International School’s mission statement.
“Mrs Trump, I would like to tell you our school is honored to meet you. UNIS stands for peace in the world and to make the world a better place. We are very opened-minded and like to listen to new ideas. We like our ideas to be heard too. We like to tell people to be kind. Please help UNIS spread the love around the world,’ one student read to Melania while presenting the plaque.
At 9:30AM, the First Lady and the students rang the Opening Bell, starting the day’s trading session.
“Today’s visit to the historic New York Stock Exchange was very special and it was made even more so by spirited students from the United Nations International School,” a White House Readout read of the First Lady visit. “Today was about celebrating children and the message of BE BEST. The NYSE is a great example of the strength of our economic system, which allows programs to grow and to support children around the globe. I want to thank Stacey and the entire New York Stock Exchange for welcoming me today – it was an honor to ring the Opening Bell.”
Melania is in New York alongside the president for the United Nations General Assembly and will be joining her husband at some of the events held during this week.
