First lady Melania Trump arrived at Palm Beach, Florida just shortly before her husband, President Trump term officially ended.
Arriving in the sunshine state, Melania changed from her all-black ensemble she left the White House in and sported an orange-emblazoned dress from Gucci. The geometric-print cream, orange, and dark blue long dress has channels the spirit of the ‘70s psychedelia vibe that is made from a cady silk-wool blend. It features a vintage feel that is further enhanced by the crewneck design shift style, a round neck, crop sleeves, and a rear zip fastening. It retailed for $3,700, but unfortunately is not available for purchase at this time.
Melania completed her Gucci kaftan look, ditching her Red soles for a pair of navy classic buckle ballerina flats by Roger Vivier and jet-black Saint Laurent sunglasses. The Gommettine Ball Classic Buckle Ballerina Flats retail for $550 and is available for purchase at Bergdorf Goodman.
The couple emerged from Air Force One at 11:08 a.m., White House Pool report reported, around an hour before the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden kicked off in DC.
Before departing for Florida, Trump held a small farewell rally at Joint Base Andrews.
“It is my greatest honor and privilege to have been your president,” Trump said to cheers. “I wish the new administration great luck and great success, and I think they’ll have great success. They have the foundation to do something really spectacular.”
“Have a good life. We will see you soon,” Trump said. His plane departed to the sounds of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way.”
As Trump’s motorcade drove to Mar-A-Lago, Trump supporters had gathered along the route, cheering with some saying “Thank you, President Trump.”
Trump, a lifelong New Yorker, became a Florida resident in 2019, filing paperwork to officially designate Mar-a-Lago as his family’s place of primary residence.
