What Ivanka Wore To President Trump WEF Speech in Davos

White House Senior Adviser Ivanka Trump accompanied President Trump for the World Economic Forum on Tuesday as he addressed the annual meeting at Davos, Switzerland.

Dressed in an all black ensemble, Ivanka wore a chic ankle-length coat dress from Oscar de la Renta. She first wore this black coat in April 2018 in New Hampshire for a tax reform event.

What made her outfit stand out was the statement chunky gold floral belt centered at the waist line. Also from Oscar de la Renta, the gold floral belt hailed from the fall 2017 collection. The belt features a skinny velvet band and a gold rose-shaped buckle. It retailed for $1,490, but unfortunately it is sold out.

This look is easy, yet perfect to recreate. Since this gorgeous belt is sold out, one can still mimic her style at a fraction of the cost with the picks below.

At the WEF, President Trump delivered his keynote address to an elite audience of leading executives, bankers and politicians focusing on the booming U.S. economy, touting his administration’s agenda of cutting taxes, rolling back regulations and imposing tariffs to secure more favorable trade deals.

“Today, I’m proud to declare that the United States is in the midst of an economic boom the likes of which the world has never seen before,” Trump said. “I knew that if we unleashed the potential of our people, if we cut taxes, slashed regulations — and we did that at a level that’s never been done before in the history of our country, in a short period of time — fixed broken trade deals and fully tapped American energy, that prosperity would come thundering back at a record speed.  And that is exactly what we did, and that is exactly what happened.

The president described the economic gains as a “blue-collar boom” that has strengthened the middle class and lifted many out of poverty. He urged other nations to follow “America First” example and liberate their citizens “from the crushing weight of bureaucracy.”

“Today, I hold up the American model as an example to the world of a working system of free enterprise that will produce the most benefits for the most people in the 21st century and beyond,” Trump said. “A pro-worker, pro-citizen, pro-family agenda demonstrates how a nation can thrive when its communities, its companies, its government, and its people work together for the good of the whole nation. Today, I urge other nations to follow our example and liberate your citizens from the crushing weight of bureaucracy.  With that, you have to run your own countries the way you want.”

Trump thanked Ivanka, who was in the audience for spearheading the “Pledge to America’s Workers” agenda.

“Under Ivanka’s leadership — who is with us today — our Pledge to America’s Workers has become a full-blown national movement with over 400 companies committing to provide new job and training opportunities to already very close to 15 million American students and workers,” Trump said. “As a central part of our commitment to building an inclusive society, we established the National Council for the American Worker.  We want every citizen, regardless of age or background, to have the cutting-edge skills to compete and succeed in tomorrow’s workplace.  This includes critical industries like artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and 5G.”

Ivanka on Twitter revealed that her time in Davos will be spent on calling on world’s largest employers to “sign our #PledgetoAmericasWorkers,” adding she wants employers to “join us in unleashing the potential of our people and accelerating the historic wave of opportunity, wage growth, and job creation in the United States.”

After the speech, Ivanka descended to the next event and was approached by CNN’s Jim Acosta who attempted to ask her about the impeachment trial that was set to begin. In a classy manner, Ivanka completely ignored Acosta and continued to walk away.

    AOC is uninformed, miseducated, and totally befuddled on national and international issues. A deer in the headlights look, (apologies to deer everywhere.}

Being a reporter seems a ticket out to the world.
