Can you tell what my favorite color I love to wear?! Yes, it’s the color yellow. There’s just something about the color yellow with my tan and my balayage hair that makes my outfit go WOW!!
As much as it’s the end of fall heading to winter and I am in Alabama covering the Special Election (Click here to read my recap) my love for fashion and my #ootd doesn’t change or stay in New York City😆
I wanted to share this look because I think its a perfect skirt for the fall and winter season. Although you can’t go wrong with wearing a mini skirt, it is important to pair these skirts with the right shoes. While many skirts are sexy, nothing is as sexy as a miniskirt. Mini skirts are the best type of skirts, especially if you love showing off your killer legs, even if one covers them up with Over The Knee Boots.
I’m crushing on velvet this season (as many fashion trendsetter are) and I was able to make my crush a reality thanks to these fabulous miniskirt I found from Forever 21. This flirty miniskirt paired perfectly with all your fall favorites. I paired my velvet mini with a simple, but elegant cold shoulder ribbed turtleneck top I found in Rainbow stores (a go to store to get the basic necessities). As for shoes, I paired it with over the knee boots as means to cover more skin and makes it seem far less scandalous as I was at a work event and in a state where fashion is seen as a different concept than New York.
I love dressing up a mini skirt, either with a casual shirt or dress it more chic sexy top. When thinking about how to wear a mini skirt, there is one simple fashion rule not to commit — if your skirt is short, your top should be a cover up (unless it’s summer one can pair it with a crop top). That means steer away from plunging necklines or strapless tops.
