Trump In Second Twitter Video Update: ‘It’s Been A Very Interesting Journey’

"So it’s been a very interesting journey. I learned a lot about COVID," Trump said.

President Trump tweeted a second video update from Walter Reed Medical Center on Sunday, stating his personal positive diagnosis have been a “very interesting journey,” and that he learned a lot about COVID-19.

“So it’s been a very interesting journey. I learned a lot about COVID. I learned it by really going to school,” Trump said in the video update Sunday afternoon. “This is the real school. This isn’t the ‘let’s read the book’ school. And I get it. And I understand it. And it’s a very interesting thing. And I’m going to be letting you know about it.”

Trump also announced that he is getting “great reports” from his doctors.

This is the second video from Walter Reed that Trump has posted updating the nation of his health condition since being admitted and the third video in total since announcing his diagnosis. Early Friday morning, the President revealed that he and First Lady Melania Trump had tested positive for the virus. Trump opted to go to the hospital Friday afternoon as a precautionary measure after suffering “mild” symptoms.

In the video Sunday, the president said that he plans to pay a “surprise visit” to supporters who have gathered outside of Walter Reed hospital.

“I also think we’re going to pay a little surprise to some of the great patriots that we have out on the street,” Trump said. “And they’ve been out there for a long time, and they’ve got Trump flags. And they love our country. So I’m not telling anybody, but you. But I’m about to make a little surprise visit.”

Moments after tweeting his second video update, Trump made the surprise appearance. Being inside the motorcade, Trump was seen wearing a mask and waving to the huge group of supporters that gathered outside since Friday. This decision triggered outrage from the left and the media.

The White House defended Trump brief motorcade visit, stating that “appropriate precautions” were taken and the drive was deemed safe and “cleared by the medical staff” from staff at Walter Reed.

“Appropriate precautions were taken in the execution of this movement to protect the President and all those supporting it, including PPE,” White House Deputy Press Secretary Judd Deere said in a statement. “The movement was cleared by the medical team as safe to do.”

Earlier, White House physician Sean Conley said at a press briefing Sunday that President Trump experienced two “transient” episodes in which his oxygen saturation level dropped below 94% and that he received supplemental oxygen on Friday after registering a “high fever.”

“Over the course of his illness, the president has experienced two episodes of transient drops in his oxygen saturation,” Dr. Conley said. “We debated the reasons for this and whether we’d even intervene. It was the determination of the team, based predominantly on the timeline from the initial diagnosis, that we initiate Dexamethasone.”

Dr. Garibaldi said the President could return to the White House as soon as Monday.

“Today, he feels well, he’s been up and around. Our plan for today is to have him to eat and drink, be up out of bed as much as possible, to be mobile. If he continues to look and feel as well as he does today, our hope is that we can plan for a discharge as early as tomorrow to the White House where he can continue his treatment course,” Dr. Garibaldi said.

After Trump’s physicians said that the President could be discharged as early as Monday, Global markets and US stock futures were rising. Wall Street seems poised to join the rally for Monday with Futures for the Dow, S&P 500, and Nasdaq each rose between 0.4% and 0.6%.

I caught bits and pieces of CNN/CBS/ABC and from what I heard President Trump was withing inches of knocking on Death’s Door. Instead what I see is a guy that looks a bit tired but then who wouldn’t be with his schedule. Aside from Making America Great Again in his spear time his Pisses-off-the-media. What a guy. God Bless the United States of America, Our Men and Women in Uniform all of the First Responders and Our President.
