Trump Campaign, RNC Raise $76 Million During Week of Republican Convention

President Trump’s reelection campaign, the Republican National Committee (RNC), and joint-fundraising committees raked in $76 million during the four-day Republican National Convention.

According to a senior Trump campaign official, the Trump campaign, the RNC along with the fundraising committees dubbed Trump Victory and Trump MAGAC (Make America Great Again Committee) raised $76 million between the convention kick-off on Monday and President Trump’s formally accepting the GOP presidential nomination Thursday night.

“With massive fundraising and record viewership, President Trump’s re-nomination convention was a huge, unqualified success,” Trump campaign communications director Tim Murtaugh said.

“Enthusiasm for President Trump is through the roof and is something Joe Biden could only dream of,” Murtaugh continued. “We come out of the convention at a full sprint and the president is going to seal the deal.”

The fundraising efforts from the Trump campaign exceeded the Biden campaign by $6 million. Last week, the Biden campaign announced it raised along with the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and its joint raising committees raised $70 million during the week of the Democratic National Convention. It is worth to note that Democratic nominee Joe Biden held numerous high-dollar fundraising events prior to the convention.

In July, the Biden campaign and the DNC ended with $294 million cash on hand, compared with more than $300 million for the Trump campaign and the RNC.
