Romper: Pink Lily Boutique | Sunglasses: Quay | Shoes: Dr. Martens |
Hey friends. For this post, I have teamed up with Pink Lily Boutique to showcase the most cutest must-have summer piece.
Summer in New York City is legit right now feels like a desert. With temperatures in the high 90s, wearing any type of pants is out of the question. With the crazy heat and humidity (it comes and goes — Ahh mother nature) the best outfit a girl should wear without sweating up a storm is a romper.
When it comes to the jumpsuit’s little sister – the romper, I have a love, but semi-hate relationship. I love this one item of clothing to wear for the summer and I semi hate the inconvenience of taking it off when having to go the bathroom when wearing one (you girls know exactly what I’m talking about),
The fit, the style, and the details of this romper is the perfect summer style outfit. It’s perfect to wear during the crazy summer heat because the material is so lightweight, preventing it from sticking to your body while keeping one cool.
The print of this specific romper quickly won my heart because I have grown to love polka dots. This romper featured a crisscrossing high neckline and the long sleeves with cutouts which added a feminine touch. Plus, this romper has lots and lots of ruffles along the cuffs and bottom hem, making this romper ultra stylish and flirty.
A bonus feature was that it has pockets — Winning!!!!
So I wore what I call an “Itsy Bitsy teeny weeny polka dot” romper. For this look, I opted to switch up my look by going edgy. I paired my romper with Dr. Martin boots instead of my usual summer go to shoe of sandals or wedges to show different types of ways to pair a romper. So wish I could have completed this look with a leather jacket to go full on edgy.
This romper is a size Small and the torso does run a bit short, so it fits more like an XS, which is doable for me, but if you have some booty (a blessing and a curse), I would recommend sizing up to be on the safe side.
Pink Lily has so many cute rompers, dresses and accessories and I love this boutique for its trendy looks.
They are so affordable, with this romper being just under $50! I also compiled some of my other favorite cute rompers Pink Lily has that I might also get at the bottom of this post so be sure to check them out!
Special Thanks to Pink Lily Boutique for partnering up on this post!
