The Met Gala, known as the most fashionable gala night of the year has finally arrived and this year’s theme will surely go down as one of the most impressive event in history.

This year’s exhibition — “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” was designed to create a dialogue between fashion and the masterworks of religious art in the museum’s holdings. A-listers looked angelic in their fashionable gowns and the red carpet was fierce. A handful of the attendees truly stood out though, as this year Met Gala as the red carpet was full of over-the-top ensembles that combined religion with high-religion.
