Red is the color of love!
First Lady Melania Trump spent Valentine’s Day visiting sick children at the National Institutes of Health’s Children’s Inn in Bethesda, Maryland.
For this special occasion, Melania wore a Valentine’s Day inspired ensemble of a red wrap coat from Calvin Klein. The coat original retails at $2,995, but was marked down to $748 at Neiman Marcus. The wool wrap coat from Calvin Klein is currently sold out. Melania fashioned this impeccable belted wrap coat as a coat dress. The Calvin Klein coat had deep pockets and a belt with a D-ring silver buckle. She paired the red coat that she kept on during her stay with her black Christian Louboutin patent python stilettos
Ahead of her visit, the First Lady tweeted her excitement of spending Valentine’s Day with kids at NIH. Melania has made children her top priority since becoming First Lady as she often visit’s children’s hospital in the D.C/Virginia area or abroad while traveling with her husband.

The Children’s Inn is a specialty residence facility where seriously ill children stay as they receive clinical trials and treatments. As she entered the residence, Melania was greeted with a warm welcome warm from patients ranging in the ages of 4 and 25. During her time spent, Melania helped the kids decorate heart-shaped cookies and make Valentine’s cards.
The Children’s Inn shared a video on their Facebook page thanking Melania for the visit and spreading love with the children in the spirit of Valentine’s Day. Parents of the children patients personally thanked the First Lady on NIH Facebook for taking time off her busy schedule and spending time with their kids.
One mother wrote: “So awesome! That you First Lady for making these kids’ day! Austin will tell me all about this wonderful experience when he gets home”. Another parent wrote: “She is at one of the places that Makes AMERICA Great,” while one said: “Wonderful for these children and families”.

Melania was all smiles as she chatted with the children and hugged some while exchanging Valentine’s Day cards The First Lady handed the children White House Valentine’s Day cards that were printed with red and pink hearts.

One young kid gave Melania a pair of black Children’s Inn sunglasses. Melania, in love with her present told the young man the glasses “is very fashionable,” and that she “loves sunglasses.” Before she left, Melania was given a canvas painting of a colorful heart that read “Happy Valentine’s Day, Mrs. Trump.”
