Melania Trump Makes Surprise Visit to D.C. Fire Station

First Lady Melania Trump made a surprise visit to a fire station in Washington D.C. on Wednesday,  to show her support to “critical first responders who put their lives at risk” each and every day.

“I appreciated today’s opportunity to give my thanks to some of D.C.’s bravest and finest,” Melania said about the surprise visit, according to a readout. “We are grateful for their teamwork, professionalism, and courage, and the vital role they play in communities throughout the country.”

Melania shared pictures of her visit to Engine 9 on Twitter to show her “appreciation for their work to provide critical life-saving services.”

During the visit, Melania spent time engaging with firefighters and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) personnel from Engine Company 9 and spoke about their work-life about the daily challenges they are facing during the coronavirus pandemic. The First Lady also met with police officers from the neighboring DC Metropolitan Police Department Third District where she discussed the “strength and resiliency” in their work to build a “safer and stronger connection between neighbors, police and the community.”

“The President and I will continue to support our dedicated firefighters, police members, EMS personnel and other critical first responders who put their lives at risk each day in order to keep our neighborhoods safe,” Melania said.

According to the readout released by the First Lady’s office, Melania delivered a donation of packaged boxed lunches that were prepared by White House chefs. She also handed out Be Best tote bags, reusable face masks and hand sanitizer to the fire and police personnel.

Stephanie Grisham, the First Lady’s Chief of Staff said Melania’s unannounced visit was done “in support” of the first responders protecting the nation’s Capitol and wanted to “thank them for their hard work and dedication” in keeping the community that is “highly visited, commercial and residential section of the capital well known for its ethnic and cultural diversity.”

Last week, Melania made a surprise visit to a local woman shelter to personally deliver boxed lunches and personal care items donned with her Be Best initiative logo. During her time at The Mary Elizabeth House, Melania spent time engaging with staff members and young mothers about the importance of strengthening families and protecting children.

“It was a pleasure to spend time with the staff, mothers & children at The Mary Elizabeth House, a place that helps strengthen families & provides life skills, counseling & educational resources to help vulnerable single women & their children. #BeBest,” Melania tweeted.

What a classy First Lady with so little makeup! And she’s a Mom too!

Melania had to squint because of direct sunlight when she could have worn sunglasses. Still gorgeous looking.

Once again, Melania has shown what a classy, patriotic, gracious First Lady she is. In high contrast to the one before her, she wears respectable clothing, worthy of the esteemed position she has in this country. And she’s giving attention to the DESERVING men and women who are fighting on the front lines, to help our citizens in time of need, instead of pandering to violent, demanding BLM rioters.

I have no doubt that some Democrat/Leftist/Liberal/Socialist will find something wrong with this article. Perhaps the First Lady wore the wrong dress, or maybe her heels were too high. I know she is flaunting her Whiteness by giving these Brave Men and Women lunch inferring that they can’t afford to get their own lunch.
Thank you First Lady Trump, always a Class Act.

It’s amazing how different this White House is than the last one. Melania appreciates everyone one and shows it consistently. Michelle was embarrassed to be called American.

Being a reporter seems a ticket out to the world.
