The sixth and final Democratic president debate of 2019 takes place at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles Thursday night. It will be the first debate of the cycle to host fewer than 10 candidates.
The debate, hosted by PBS NewsHour and Politico, was thrown into upheaval last week when all seven qualified candidates threatened to boycott due to labor dispute with food workers. It also comes just 24 hour after the House voted to impeach President Trump.
The seven candidates including frontrunners former Vice President Joe Biden, Sens. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, and South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg, as well as lower-tier candidates Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, entrepreneur Andrew Yang, and billionaire activist Tom Steyer.
