Cape Blazer: Boohoo | Jumpsuit: Boohoo | Shoes: Aldo | Bag: Celine
This whole outfit are pieces that I reworked from my closet to put together for a whole new outfit look.
I bought this jumpsuit in summer 2017 for a baby shower. I love this specific jumpsuit not only for the pockets and the extra lift it gives me in my cleavage area, but because it’s a skinny leg jumpsuit. This specific type of jumpsuit is hard to find since most are wide leg, trendy leg or detailed leg type of jumpsuit.
As for my cape blazer, I bought it at the end of 2016. I totally forgot I bought this beauty because it was hidden in my closet, with tags still enacted. I pulled it out last week after doing a major haul in my closet and began thinking of how to wear it now instead of May.
Before heading out, I almost paired the jumpsuit with simply cardigan or blazer until I remembered I had the long white cape blazer. I literally transformed a basic look into a stylish office look. It became a sexy monochrome look. There is something so chic about a black and white outfit that instantly makes you feel sophisticated. Adding a gold chain belt to the look along with some classic black stilettos completed my whole outfit.
So why a cape blazer?!
When we think of superheroes, one thing comes to mind are CAPES!
Cape blazers are the perfect mix of edgy and chic, and you kind of can’t help but feel like a sexy super hero walking down NYC streets when you’re wearing it!
I love the uniqueness of it and how it really transforms your look, making it dramatic compare to a normal blazer. The beauty of a cape blazer is how versatile it is and how it can be paired with pretty much anything from jeans, skirt, dress, and jumpsuits.
Boohoo has the best selection of affordable chic cape blazer. The material is stunning, however thin, but it doesn’t look or feel cheap. My second favorite cape blazer is the shorter version that I own and have worn before from H&M’s Conscious Collection. This specific cape blazer is short and sleek. Stay tuned for a new #OOTD with me wearing my black cape blazer.
P.S. I shot this look very early in the morning before heading to a morning meeting as my sister was heading home from her night tour. As I was shooting, many kids were heading to school (hence the school bus in some of my background pictures) and one cute little loud kid screaming at his mother saying, “she has a cape, is she a superhero?” I kid you not he said this, but he made my morning with that cute question 😊
