Collins To Introduce Resolution In Removing Pelosi As House Speaker

Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) introduced a resolution on Monday to push for the removal of Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) from House Speaker, saying the California Democrat “doesn’t have the mental fitness” to lead the House.

In a draft of the resolution, first seen by Fox News, Collins calls into question Pelosi “unwillingness to abide by the Constitution, combined with her recent actions” to argue she is “unable to adequately serve as Speaker of the House of Representatives and should therefore be removed from her position.”

“Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s unwillingness to abide by the Constitution, combined with her recent actions, call into question her own mental fitness, which is why it’s critical that the House of Representatives demand her removal from the line of succession,” Collins told Fox News.

The resolution comes after Pelosi last Friday announced legislation to create a commission under the 25th Amendment to assess President Trump’s capacity to hold office that will allow Congress to intervene. The House speaker denied the legislation had anything to do with Trump, despite just 24 hours before she questioned the president’s fitness and accusing him of “being in an altered stated” due to the COVID medication he was taking to recover after testing positive for the virus.

“This is not about President Trump. He will face the judgment of voters. But he shows the need to create a process for future presidents,” Pelosi said Friday morning unveiling the legislation. “This bill honors the duty by strictest creating a standing commission of top former executive officials and medical experts selected in a bipartisan, bicameral way. A president’s fitness for all of us must be determined by science and facts.”

The Georgia Republican cited Pelosi time as House Speaker where she focused her leadership solely on “pursuing baseless and fruitless investigations” against Trump, including last year stunt in launching an impeachment inquiry.

“On October 31, 2019, Speaker Nancy Pelosi oversaw the first party-line vote to begin an impeachment inquiry into a president in the history of our country,” the resolution reads.

A month later, the House voted to adopt two articles of impeachment against Trump — articles of impeachment for abuse of power, and articles of impeachment for obstruction of Congress.

Collins also references the moment when Pelosi ripped up her printed copy of the president’s 2020 State of the Union speech in February shortly after Trump delivered his remarks to Congress. Another incident Collins cites in his resolution Pelosi visiting a “shuttered hair salon in San Francisco where she received a blow-out without wearing a mask in violation of California’s local ordinance coronavirus laws.” After footage of the House Speaker was caught during her visit without wearing a face mask, Pelosi seek to cast blame solely on the salon’s owner for “setting her up,” another reference Collins cites in the resolution.

“Over her tenure of her speakership, Speaker Nancy Pelosi has started to demonstrate a decline in mental fitness, calling into question her ability to adequately serve the House of Representatives and the American people,” Collins’ resolution reads.

The resolution also referenced Pelosi “appeared confused and exhibited bizarre behavior” during her ABC Sunday morning interview last month where the House Speaker apparent flub in “blurting out randomly — ‘Good Morning, Sunday morning,'” as her response when she was asked by host George Stephanopoulos use any arrows out of her quiver or rule anything out to stop Trump’s Supreme Court pick from being confirmed.

On Twitter, Collins affirmed that he will introduce the resolution to remove Pelosi from her role as House Speaker.

“It’s clear that Nancy Pelosi does not have the mental fitness to serve as Speaker of the House of Representatives. I’m introducing a resolution to push for her removal,” Collins tweeted.

At age 80, I think it’s time for Pelosi to retire and stay home with her freezer-full or ice cream! That activity would better suit her mental capability and give voters a rest from having to deal with her constant disagreements with Pres. Trump, most of which don’t make much sense to me to begin with! I’m sure it’s driving the Pres. bonkers, too!

Why are we putting up with these old, deranged, mentally ill, selfish egomaniacs, like Nancy Pelosi and the deceased Supreme Court Judge Ginsburgh, members of the “Washington bubble”, drawing huge salaries, on a position they no longer can effectively performed, depriving someone younger, brighter and physically adroit, from a position.

I completely agree with Rep Collins representation of Speaker Pelosi’s actions and demeanor. One more thing to remember, back at the beginning of this virus, Speaker Pelosi was at the podium the rest of the members speak from when addressing the House. She was not wearing a mask, wiped her nose and then the microphone with the same hand. This is after we were all warned about not touching your face with your hands and to wash your hands frequently. She is only concerned about what power she has and how she can use it against anyone who opposes her. even members of her own party if need be. As Speaker of the House, she has a lot of power, and you know what they say about absolute power, it corrupts absolutely. She is a perfect example.

It is about time Pelosi is removed! This should have happened when she tore up President Trump’s State of the Union Address.

Pelosi is in the same position as Biden. They’re both old and losing their grip on reality. Neither of them could hold down a regular job at this point and should not be running the greatest country in the world.

Being a reporter seems a ticket out to the world.
