Biden Outraised Trump By $10 Million in June Fundraising

Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) outraised President Trump and the Republican National Committee (RNC) by $10 million in the month of June, marking the second consecutive month the former vice president has outperformed Trump’s campaign.

Biden campaign combined with the DNC raised a total of $141 million in June. In total, the campaign and DNC raised $282.1 million in the second quarter. The new all-time fundraising high was largely aided by multiple joint virtual events Biden held alongside his surrogates including former President Obama, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), and Sen. Kamala Harris(D-CA). The high-donor events hosted with these three prominent Democrats helped Biden raked up a total of $20.5 million.

“It’s clear that voters are looking for steady leadership, experience, empathy, compassion, and character — and they’ll find all of these qualities in Vice President Joe Biden,” Biden campaign manager Jen O’Malley Dillon said in a statement. “This has been our argument since day one of this campaign, and it will be our winning argument in November. We absolutely cannot afford a president who only cares about himself. We urgently need a leader who will bring us together, overcome this emergency, and build us back stronger than before.”

This marks the second consecutive month the former Vice President has outraised the Trump. In May, Biden and the DNC brought in $80.8 million, outraising the $74 million the president and the RNC raised.

Biden campaign announced in their fundraising total that 68 percent of June donors were making their first donations to the campaign with an average online donation of $34 and over 2.6 million have signed up to join the campaign email list. They also noted the most common donor occupation were listed as educators.

The Trump campaign in conjunction with the RNC announced earlier that they had raised $131 million in June. In total, the RNC and Trump Campaign had brought in a whopping, record-breaking $266 million in the second quarter. The staggering second-quarter haul is over $111 million more than the first quarter of 2020, marking a 71 percent increase over the first quarter.

This month’s total includes the $14 million the Trump campaign raked in their largest record single-day high, with the average donation was $46 on President Trump’s 74th birthday, as well as bringing in $10 million during the weekend of president’s rally in Tulsa.

“No one is excited about Joe Biden, which is why he has to rely so heavily on surrogates like Barack Obama and radical Hollywood elites,” Trump 2020 Campaign Manager Brad Parscale said in a statement. “In stark contrast, President Trump is tapping into support from real Americans all across the country who have reaped the benefits of his America First agenda.”

The Trump campaign noted that President Trump only held two fundraising events during the second quarter, while Biden is “is personally holding fundraising events constantly.”

The campaign cited their massive haul was “largely fueled by the robust digital, mail and online donor base amassed,” and has over 50 million new voter contacts.

The RNC and Trump campaign has now raised a total of $947 million with $295 million cash on hand.

The Biden campaign didn’t disclosed on how much cash on hand figures total for the end of June, but the former vice president is far behind Trump’s massive war chest. As of May 31, Biden campaign, the DNC and an affiliated committee had a total of $130 million on hand.
