Former Vice President Joe Biden got into a heated exchange with a Michigan construction worker who questioning his recent views on the Second Amendment, causing the 2020 presidential candidate to curse at the man, saying “you’re full of shit.”
Biden was meeting members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers building the new Fiat Chrysler Automobiles assembly plant Tuesday morning.
“You’re the best damn workers in the world,” Biden said to the construction workers before the exchange. “I promise you if I become your president you will never have a better friend in the White House. I’m union from, as my — I won’t say what my grandfather used to say — but from belt buckle to shoe sole, man.”
While touring the assembly plant, Biden was confronted by one of the IBEW members who asked him about his stance on gun ownership.
“You are actively trying to end our Second Amendment right and take away our guns,” the worker told Biden, according to a video captured by CBS reporter Bo Erickson.

When an aide tried to intervene, Biden told her, “No, now shush. Shush.”
Biden then responded, telling the construction worker, “You’re full of shit” before explaining that he supports the Second Amendment.
“I support the Second Amendment. The Second Amendment — just like right now, if you yelled ‘fire,’ that’s not free speech,” Biden said. “And from the very beginning — I have a shotgun, I have a 20-gauge, a 12-gauge. My sons hunt. Guess what? You’re not allowed to own any weapon. I’m not taking your gun away at all. You need 100 rounds?”
The construction worker cited videos of Biden in a campaign appearance with former presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke last week before Super Tuesday, where Biden said he would seek O’Rourke help in implementing gun control policies.
“I did not say that. I did not say that,” Biden shouted. “It’s a viral video like the other ones they’re putting out that are simply a lie. Wait, wait wait, wait, take your AR, your AR-14.”
Biden then put his finger in the man’s face adding, “Don’t tell me that, pal, or I’m going to go outside with your ass.”
“You’re working for me, man!” the worker responded back.
“I’m not working for you,” Biden said. “Don’t be such a horse’s ass.”
When Biden left the auto plant, videos on Twitter went viral showing workers chanting “Trump!, Trump!, Trump!”

Biden has sparred with voters in heated exchanges during the campaign trail. In December, Biden lashed out angrily at an elderly man in Iowa who brought up his son Hunter Biden’s business dealings in Ukraine. The former Vice President snapped, calling the Iowa voter a “damn liar.”
Last month, Biden humilated a young New Hampshire college student by branding her a “lying, dog-faced pony soldier” when she asked the former Vice President about his fourth-place standing in the Iowa caucuses.
Republicans blasted Biden for the heated exchange with the Michigan worker.
“When Sleepy Joe Biden isn’t yelling at Michigan auto workers in Detroit or telling them they’re ‘full of sh*t,’ he’s supporting the disastrous NAFTA trade deal that cost Michigan thousands of automotive jobs,” Republican National Committee spokesman Michael Joyce said in a statement. “President Trump is delivering for Michiganders with new trade deals like the USMCA that are bringing manufacturing jobs back to the Great Lakes State.”
