50 Cent Endorses Trump In Response To Biden’s Tax Plan

"WHAT THE F--K! (VOTE ForTRUMP)," 50 Cent shared on social media with a screenshot displaying the "top tax rates by state under [the] Biden tax plan."

Rapper 50 Cent is the latest celebrity abroad the Trump 2020 train ahead of the presidential election just two weeks away.

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson took to social media Monday night, telling his followers to “Vote Trump,” sharing a screenshot of Democratic presidential Joe Biden’s proposed tax plan that shows figures increasing taxes in certain states on those considered top earners.

The image shared was a screenshot of a CNBC broadcast displaying the “top tax rates by state under [the] Biden tax plan.”

“WHAT THE F–K! (VOTE ForTRUMP),” 50 Cent captioned in the tweet. “IM OUT, 🏃‍♂️💨F**K NEW YORK The KNICKS never win anyway. 🤷🏽‍♂️I don’t care Trump doesn’t like black people 62% are you out of ya f**king mind.”

According to calculations from Jared Walczak of the Tax Foundation, a nonpartisan analysis, high earners in New York and California could face combined federal and state tax rates of 62% under Biden’s tax plan. The state of New York shows those residing in the state would be taxed at a rate of 58%, while those residing in New York City would be taxed at 62%.

Under Biden’s plan, the effective tax rate for the top 1% would increase from 26.8% to 39.8%, according to the Tax Policy Center. That means top earners in California and New York City would pay effective state and federal tax rates of around 53%, compared to the roughly 40% rate high earners are effectively paying today. The combined rates would be the highest in more than 30 years and well above rates top earners paid under the Obama administration.

The combined tax rate of more than 60% for top earners include Biden’s plan hiking the top federal income tax rate for those earning more than $400,000 from 37% to 39.6% along with adding the payroll tax of 12.4%.

Following 50 Cent endorsement and sharing the screenshot of Biden’s tax plan, Biden Campaign senior advisor, Symone Sanders sought to clarify that only high earners making over $400,000 would be affected not the middle class.

“To be clear: Joe Biden is NOT going to raise taxes on anyone who makes LESS THAN $400,000 a year. If you make more than $400,000 a year & Biden is the President, your taxes will go up b/c he believes the wealthiest people in this country have to pay their fair share,” Sanders tweeted Monday evening.

Earlier Tuesday morning, 50 Cent railed against Biden’s tax plan, adding reason to why he is endorsing Trump. He tweeted a video from Fox News featuring a tweet from Trump’s senior advisor, Katrina Pierson joking about changing his name under Biden’s higher tax plan. In the tweet, Pierson wrote, “I guess 50 cent don’t want to end up 20 cent.”

“👀Yeah, i don’t want to be 20cent. 62% is a very, very, bad idea,” the rapper captioned the video. “😟i don’t like it ! #starzgettheapp.”

50 Cent joins a long list of celebrities and prominent figures, including recently Kirstie Alley, who voiced their support for Trump. However, those who have come out to vocal endorsed Trump faced intense backlash from the left after expressing their preferred choice for president.
